Video is the heavy one. Your TV may run motion smoothing, upscaling, and other enhancements on the picture; a soundbar or receiver may add its own. Each of those steps delays the video by a few milliseconds. Audio, meanwhile, often takes a more direct route — or worse, a slower one if it is going out over Bluetooth. When the two paths add up to different totals, the clocks drift, and you get lip-sync error. - Bluetooth audio. The single most common cause. Bluetooth compresses and buffers sound on its way to headphones or a speaker, typically adding 100–300 milliseconds of delay — easily enough to see. If sync is only off with a Bluetooth device, you have found it.

Fixes that actually realign it
Work top to bottom and stop when it is fixed. Change one thing at a time so you know what worked.

- Restart the stream, then the app, then the device. Re-launching re-locks the two clocks and clears a slipped buffer. It is unglamorous and it works more often than anything else.
